A foundation-first approach to naturopathic care
At Verve Holistic Health, we don’t believe in quick fixes. We believe in identifying root causes, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal, and layering in advanced therapies only when they’ll actually move the needle. Below are the questions our patients ask most — and honest answers about how we work.
OUR APPROACH
Why does Verve start every patient with foundations like nutrition, sleep, and lab work — instead of jumping straight to IVs or peptides?
Because foundations are what every advanced therapy depends on.
Your body’s ability to absorb nutrients, repair tissue, regulate hormones, and respond to treatment all rely on the same basics:
- Stable blood sugar and balanced nutrition
- Restorative sleep and circadian rhythm
- Healthy gut and detox pathways
- Mitigating and clearing environmental toxic burden
- Hormones and key nutrients in the right ranges (not just “in range”)
Skip these, and an IV or peptide is a high-powered signal sent to a system that can’t fully use it. Build them, and every therapy you layer on top works harder for you.
Foundation-first means we treat the whole person, not just the symptom.
How is Verve different from a med spa or IV bar?
A med spa or IV bar is built around treatments. Verve is built around patients.
The difference shows up in how we work:
- We start with a naturopathic consult to understand your full health picture — not just what you came in for.
- We use labs to guide decisions, not guess. We look at where you actually are, not what’s trending. Additional specialty labs provide guided direction tailored to your specific journey.
- We sequence therapies intentionally. IV therapy, peptides, and aesthetics are tools we use — but only after we know they’re the right tool, at the right time, for you.
- We’re naturopathic doctor-led. Every plan is overseen by Dr. Angelina Mehta, ND, with the clinical depth a med spa simply isn’t built to provide.
You can walk into a med spa and walk out with an IV in an hour. You walk into Verve and walk out with a plan.
If my labs come back “normal,” why do I still feel tired, foggy, or stuck?
Because “normal” ranges are wide — and “normal” is not the same as “optimal for you.”
Standard reference ranges are built around averages across a broad population, including people who are unwell. Functional and naturopathic ranges look at where your body actually performs best.
Common reasons patients feel off despite “normal” labs:
- B12, vitamin D, iron, or magnesium technically in range but quietly low
- Thyroid markers within range but suboptimal
- Hormones declining with age, in range for the lab but not for how you want to feel
- A nervous system stuck in overdrive, overriding healthy signaling
- Past or lingering infections contributing to low-grade inflammation
- Sleep, stress, and gut health quietly draining energy
At Verve, we look at the whole picture — labs, symptoms, lifestyle, history — and build a plan around where you feel your best, not where the lab says “good enough.”
What does “foundation-first” actually look like in practice?
It’s a sequence, not a marketing line.
Step 1: Discovery. Initial consult, targeted lab work, and body composition analysis to map your full health picture.
Step 2: Foundation. Personalized recommendations to address the basics — nutrition, sleep, gut health, detoxification, and emotional balance — so your body has what it needs to respond.
Step 3: Individualized therapies. Targeted intravenous therapies, ozone therapies (including EBOO), injections, and peptides to support hormone balance, recovery, and resilience once the foundation is in place.
Step 4: Advanced and cell therapies. Cell therapies and regenerative options to address joints, aesthetic care, and longevity goals — including approaches safe for integrative oncology, such as Wharton’s Jelly exosomes, CAR-NK exosomes, and Muse cells.
You don’t have to do everything at once. You build, one solid layer at a time.
Can I just come in for an IV or vitamin injection?
Yes — you’re always welcome to come in for an IV or vitamin injection on its own, and many of our patients do.
We’ll always tell you the truth, though: a single IV or injection is a snapshot, not a strategy. It can give you a real lift in the moment, but it doesn’t replace understanding why you’re feeling the way you do in the first place.
If you want lasting results, we recommend pairing your visit with a consult with Dr. Angelina. A naturopathic evaluation lets us identify what’s actually driving your symptoms — so we can address the root cause, not just the surface — and build a plan that makes every therapy you do work harder for you.
When are advanced therapies like peptides, exosomes, or EBOO actually appropriate?
When the foundation is in place — and when the goal calls for them.
These are powerful tools. But powerful tools deserve careful timing:
- Peptides can support repair, recovery, and metabolic health — but they signal a system that needs to be ready to respond.
- Exosomes (including newer CAR-NK exosomes) support regeneration and immune function — but they work best alongside an already supported body.
- EBOO (extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation) is a deep oxidative and detox therapy used to address inflammation, support cardiovascular health, and rebalance immune function — most effective when your detox pathways are already moving well.
We don’t gatekeep these therapies. We just want them to work for you, which means putting them in the right place in your plan.
If you’re curious whether one of these is right for you, that’s exactly what your initial consult is for.
GETTING STARTED
What happens at my first visit?
Your first visit at Verve is a comprehensive naturopathic consult with Dr. Angelina Mehta, ND. We use this time to understand:
- Your current health concerns and goals
- Your medical and family history
- Your lifestyle — sleep, nutrition, stress, movement
- An environmental exposure assessment to identify potential insults to your health
- Any recent lab work or imaging you’d like reviewed
- The therapies you’re curious about and whether they fit your goals
You’ll leave with a clear sense of next steps — which usually includes targeted lab work and an initial plan to start building your foundation.
Do I need a consult before getting IV therapy or vitamin injections?
For most therapies, yes — and for good reason.
A brief intake ensures we’re choosing the right formulation for your body, your health history, and your goals. It also lets us catch contraindications and tailor dosing.
For returning patients with an active plan, IV therapy and vitamin injections can be scheduled as standalone visits without needing a new consult each time.
What conditions and concerns does Verve typically work with?
Patients come to Verve for a wide range of reasons. The most common include:
- Persistent fatigue, low energy, and brain fog
- Hormone balance — including perimenopause, menopause, and men’s hormone health
- Gut health, food sensitivities, and inflammation
- Detoxification and toxin exposure
- Natural immune support to stimulate or modulate autoimmunity
- Cognitive enhancement for traumatic brain injury, dementia, and mood disorders
- Joint support to promote healing and recovery from active lifestyles
- Skin health, hair thinning, and aesthetic concerns
- Recovery support — post-surgery, post-illness, athletic recovery
- Longevity, healthy aging, and prevention
- Integrative support alongside conventional oncology care
If you’re not sure whether your goals are a fit, a consult is the best way to find out.
How long until I’ll see results?
It depends on the goal — and we’ll be honest with you about what’s realistic.
- Some patients feel a noticeable shift within days of starting an IV, injection, or targeted protocol.
- Foundational changes — energy, sleep quality, hormonal balance, skin and hair — typically build over 4 to 12 weeks of consistent support.
- Deeper goals — significant body composition shifts, regenerative therapy outcomes, hormone optimization — are often a 3 to 6 month arc.
We’d rather set expectations honestly than promise overnight changes that don’t last.
OUR THERAPIES
What’s on your IV menu, and how do you decide what’s right for me?
Verve offers a curated IV menu designed to support specific outcomes — hydration, energy, immunity, recovery, beauty and skin support, detoxification, and regeneration.
Rather than pushing the trendiest formula, we recommend based on:
- What your labs show
- Your current symptoms and goals
- What pairs best with the rest of your plan
If you’re new to IV therapy, we’re happy to walk you through which options fit where you are right now — and which don’t (yet).
What are peptides, and how does Verve use them?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids — naturally occurring messengers your body already uses to signal repair, growth, and balance.
At Verve, peptide therapy is one tool we may incorporate into a personalized plan to support repair, recovery, metabolic health, and other targeted goals. Because peptide use requires careful clinical oversight and is rapidly evolving in the regulatory landscape, all peptide recommendations are made one-on-one with Dr. Angelina based on your specific situation.
If you’re curious whether peptides may fit your goals, the consult is the right place to start.
What are exosomes, and how does Verve use them?
Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles — biological messengers — that carry signaling molecules between cells. They essentially tell your cells how to repair, communicate, and respond.
At Verve, we offer several distinct regenerative cell-signaling therapies, each with its own purpose. We choose the right one for your individual situation:
- Wharton’s Jelly Exosomes — Derived from the gel-like connective tissue inside the umbilical cord, this is one of the richest natural sources of regenerative signaling molecules. Patients consider Wharton’s Jelly exosomes for joint and tissue repair, recovery from injury, and broader anti-aging and regenerative goals.
- CAR-NK Exosomes — A newer generation of exosomes built from natural killer (NK) cells that have been engineered with chimeric antigen receptors. Their primary role is to support immune function and immune modulation. They’re particularly relevant for patients pursuing integrative oncology support or managing immune imbalance.
- Muse Cells — Multilineage-differentiating Stress-Enduring cells, a unique class of regenerative cells with the capacity to support broader tissue and system-wide repair. Muse cells are an option for patients seeking more comprehensive regenerative outcomes.
Because each of these therapies serves a different clinical purpose, we’ll walk you through what’s known, what’s still being learned, and which (if any) makes sense for you before recommending anything. Like all advanced therapies, they work best when your foundation is in place.
What is EBOO, and who is a good candidate?
EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) is an advanced therapy in which a portion of your blood is gently filtered, oxygenated, and treated with medical ozone before being returned to your body. It’s used to address inflammation, support cardiovascular health, rebalance immune function, and support detoxification and oxidative balance.
EBOO is a powerful therapy and not appropriate for every patient. Good candidates typically:
- Have specific detox, immune, inflammation, or oxidative goals
- Are looking to support cardiovascular conditions
- Have compromised kidney function that may benefit from oxidative support
- Are working to rebalance metabolic processes
- Have already worked on the foundations of nutrition, hydration, and key nutrient status
- Have been evaluated by Dr. Angelina to confirm there are no contraindications
If you’re curious about EBOO, a consult is the right place to discuss whether it fits.
What aesthetic and hair restoration services do you offer?

- Holistic facials by our licensed esthetician, using clean, results-driven products and techniques tailored to your skin
